Check In players as they show up, help to train the younger players (5-7 year olds) and assist coaches with training the older players.

Christmas Party

This year our Christmas party will be at Red Robin (Landing) on Tuesday 20th at 5:30pm.

Just a reminder that our Christmas party is tomorrow.

Gift : Please bring a gift up to $10 for a white elephant exchange.

I know of only 2 players that will not be attending as they are out of town. Kirsten and Cameron. If you are not going I need to know by tonight, as I have reservations.

7th Annual Bowling Event

Please let Donna know if you are going to be able to attend.

What:  7th Annual Velocity FC Bowling Party

Where:  ACME Bowl in Southcenter

When:  Saturday, Nov 26th

Time:  4-6 pm

Cost:  $20 per bowler.  Cost includes shoe rental, pizza, soda and two hours of bowling.

Indoor Info

It's that time of year again to start playing indoor.

The cost for the season will be approx $50 - $60 per player depending on how many players we have. You will also have to make sure your Starfire membership ($30) is up to date.

First game of the season is November 12th. Please check the Calendar for the schedule. It will be posted when Starfire puts it together.

GRJSA Jamboree

Velocity FC is once again going to help out with the annual GRJSA Mod Jamboree.  I am asking for players from the following teams to help out-  VFC '93 Green, VFC '93 White, VFC '95 Green, VFC '96 Green and VFC '97 Green.  This is a great way for the girls to give back to the soccer community that supported them during their Mod playing years and continues to support them today.  VFC has helped with the Mod Jamboree in 3 out of the past 4 years and it has been a great experience for our players and for the younger, mod players who look up to our girls.

As with jamborees in the past we need players to staff the following:

• Referee matches-  It's honestly not anywhere near as hard as you think and you don't have to be certified.  The rules are pretty straight forward and the games are very, very short.  As in the past, we will try to rotate referees as long as we have enough players to do so. 
• Check-In Table-  Point coaches, players and parents to the right fields.
• Bouncy castles-  Make sure there isn't too much rough play and that they take their shoes offs (cleats and inflatable, bouncy castles aren't a good combination).

As you can see we are in need of a small army of players to effectively rotate referees, the check-in table and the bouncy castles.  If players are only available for part of the day that's fine!  Any help is better than no help.  Any and all hours that players volunteer to help out with will be gladly signed off on as community service hours for players high school requirements!  This is a simple and fun (soccer related) way to get a large chunk of those hours out of the way.

• Why:  To give back to the community & to get community service hours for high school

Why:  To allow all players within our program to get together and have some fun as a club.

Where:  Lindbergh High School

When:  Saturday, Aug 27th

Time:  12:30-2:30

Notes:  Any coaches or parents willing to help set up would be greatly appreciated!  Please show up around noon to help set up.

Sounders Game - Team Event

Tuesday August 16th -

Leaving Coach Pete's house at 5:30pm. (Be there by 5:15pm)

Cost $20

We will drop players off at there homes afterwards.

Please let Coach Pete know by Friday 12th if you want a ticket.

Tryout Info

When - Saturday May 21st 1pm - 3pm

             Sunday May 22nd 1pm - 3pm

Please Pre-Register as the check In process will be much easier. There is no cost to register or attend any Velocity Tryouts. It will also keep you up to date with any last minute changes.

Registration, Birth Certificates, Medical Release Forms

To register please go to cascadesoccerclub.org. There are instructions on there website on how to register your player. Please mail the club a copy of your players birth certificate and also have a copy for your coach.
